Around The Grange
Jan 2023 News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  JANUARY 10, 2023 --

Officer attendance at our December meeting was again 100%. We had 20 attend this meeting and Christmas party. We had three representatives from Tender Years Pre-School which we are helping as one of our Community Service Projects.  Jean Meehan, Chairperson of the Community Service Committee presented them with four boxes of goodies.

We are still working on our new roof headache. This is a MUST.

We thank all our members for the donation of raffle gifts and for selling and buying  tickets.  also for the extra donations they sent with their ticket returns. Can’t tell you how much we made as of this writing the drawing is not until the end of this week.

Hoping to save money on fuel, our meetings in January and February will be held on the third Saturday starting at 2:00. We have our monthly tag sales on that day so we will already be there. We thank Nutmeg Pomona for their generous donation to help with our heating cost.  It will surely help.

Our next meeting is January 13

- program “Carnations” in charge of the CWA Committee - Marianne Nielsen, John Taylor and Pat Fischer- Bob Sendewicz will supply the refreshments.
