From The Chaplain's Desk
April 2008 Chaplain's Corner

By Amy Whitcomb, State Chaplain

APRIL 2008 -- Spring is just around the corner and we look forward to a renewal of our faith in God.  To develop a closer reunion with God why not try praying.  God is present everywhere and in all forms of life.  God is present everywhere and in all forms of life.

God’s substance, Divine energy forms all of creation.  Therefore we are always in the presence of God.  We need to enter the silence and there we will find God waiting for us.  Each day sit down, be silent and think “God and I are one.”

Begin daily for two or three minutes and you will find yourself increasing time in the silence, for you will realize the presence and power of God in you.  Close that time of prayer by thanking God for hearing you and your needs, for God knows your heart.  With God you can change your mind and your life.

Faith is the antidote to fear.  God is the universe in expression, so stay awake for guidance.  Realize you are a spiritual being.  To heal is to manifest the radiant, vital life of God always present in our every cell.  When you deny the permanency and power of any disease and claim the unlimited life of God within you, healing is manifest.  Spirit will also guide you in your healing.  God is in it all; life is wholly present as we recognize our spiritual being.
