| MARCH 25, 2014 -- We’re making progress! Nearly 600 Grange members and counting have signed the petition to become a “Friend of Rural America.” If you’re one of those, stop reading now. However, if you’re not, please take the time to become one today.
The 10,000 Friends of Rural Campaign, of which the Grange is now a devoted member, is working to get a minimum of 10,000 people to sign the petition as a way of showing legislators, businesses, etc. that Rural America does matter and that they need to invest some time and money in Rural America’s future. 10,000 Friends of Rural America is NOT a lobbying effort. It is a simple way of getting people to think about and appreciate the vital resources that Rural America provides to our country and the world. All you need to do is go to http://10000friends.ruralamerica.org/national grange/ fill out the form and click “submit.” It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes of your time! Surely you can spare 5 minutes to show your support for Rural America. Please take the time to do this and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Together, we’re going to elevate Rural America and get them the appreciation and resources they need and deserve.
