JANUARY 5, 2014 -- It all starts here with you and me and every other Subordinate Grange Lecturer or Community Grange Program Director. To have strong Pomona and State Granges, we need active, healthy local Granges. As Lecturers it is our duty to do all we can to promote our Grange. We are the important ones. As a Lecturer we need to provide a good program each meeting that meets the interests of our members. No one can tell you what to have for a program. We can only give you guidelines.
Do people stay at home when John Doe puts on a slide show or do they come and bring others with them because they know it will be a fun evening? Do you invite members who are not active to participate in your programs hoping they will enjoy themselves and start coming on a regular basis? Do you have something for everyone in your programs or do you try to do everything yourself?
A good Grange is a united Grange where everyone works together for the betterment of our Order. It is a new year. Let’s all make a resolution to work for the Good of the Order in 2014. |
