Proper Use of the Registered Trademark Symbol on the Grange Logo

By Terri Fassio and Robert Charbonneau, Public Relations Co-Directors

  JANUARY 3, 2012 --

We’ve all seen the Registered Trademark symbol on our favorite brands.  It is the Circled “R” (®).  The symbol is used to notate that the logo is a trademark that has been registered with the National Trademark Office.

The Grange Logo (the 7 sided emblem) is now required to have the Registered Trademark symbol used in all places the Logo is used.

We are in the process of updating all of our print materials, our websites, social media and more - basically everywhere the Grange Logo appears - so that it has the proper mark.

A disc will be mailed to all Officers, Committees, and Granges in Connecticut in January 2012 with the proper Grange Logos for use on all of their materials.

National Grange has informed us that the change must happen as soon as possible.  We will be working with all of Connecticut’s Granges, Officers and Committees to ensure that all instances of Logo usage are in compliance.

If you would a like a file of the proper logo e-mailed to you prior to receiving the disc, please send your request via e-mail to information@ctstategrange.org or to publicrelations@ctstategrange.org.

We thank all of you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we undertake this monumental task.
