Aug News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

We met last evening for our annual Officers’ Planning Night.

Prior to the meeting we had a ziti and meatball supper thanks to Chef Pat Fischer. Salad and ice cream cones complimented the meal. Everyone came with ideas for the new year. Our new theme is “Old MacDonald’s Farm- Animals.”

As we have been chasing rainbows watching to find the pot of gold at the end with no positive results, we have been look to find new fundraisers to pay our loan for our new roof. On Saturday, Sept. 21 we are having a Chili Cook-Off. We are looking for chili makers. Call Joanne at 203-754-5863 or Pat at 203-927-5383. Tickets are on sale so come and just enjoy the evening. The day starts off with our tag sale from 9 to 3- followed by Open Mic from 2 to 5 and supper from 5 to 6.

Election of Officers found few changes- Joanne is still President and Marilyn Secretary. Our new Steward is Donald Tyler.

Our next meeting is our picnic on August 9th. Potluck supper at 6:00. Come and enjoy some good Grange food.
