Jun News from Greenfield Hill Grange No. 133

Things “heated up” at the Greenfield Hill Grange on April 20th, when we hosted our first ever Chili Cook off. There were a variety of different chilies: vegetarian, chicken, beef and turkey to name a few. Included in the meal were all the fixings, plus potato salad and hotdogs. Thank you to all the chefs for sharing their delicious recipes. While ALL the chilis were delicious, a winner had to be chosen!

The top three prizes went to: 1st -- Jennifer Romano, 2nd -- Chuck MacMath, 3rd -- Becky Purcell. Congratulations! The winners received engraved wooden spoons. Already people are asking, “when is the next cook off?”

Nancy and Bill made a trip to the VA Medical Center with all of our recent donations. Thank you for the many toiletries, T- shirts, socks, puzzles and more. The residents there are always grateful.
