Please excuse our appearance while we’re under construction!

Good news has come our way. It’s the beginning of our dreams coming true. With funds provided by a grant; a new roof, bathrooms and single person lift to make our building accessible to all will be on the horizon. We feel blessed and very grateful. Our true blessing is our President Robin Hettrick who put in a big piece of herself, let alone the many hours. Thank you Robin.

The Wallingford Grange fired up its grill and held its first Family and Friends picnic on July 15th. So many attended and shared in good food + good conversation = good times. The hall was filled with laughter and warmth (ok, it was very hot out). Our dreams coming true.

During July and August Aili McKeen (Steward) has been hosting a bi-weekly clothing drive that will end on August 19, 2023. Not only has it been successful with donations it has also helped in reintroducing the Grange to Wallingford. Many people expressed their happiness in the Grange being back. Tours were given and a list of potential members, “Tell me more” being completed at the door. Our dreams coming true.

July 29, 2023 we had an all hands on deck cleaning party for the remaining half of the downstairs and the kitchen. Folks were up bright and early at 7 am to beat the heat. By noon, the grill was in full swing with burgers and hot dogs for a job well done. Our dreams coming true.

As always, summer is flying by. Our fair on September 16th is just around the corner. We had a successful 1st time putting a fair book together. Working on the details. I’ll share a secret- we have beautiful handmade rosettes for the four best in show. You may recognize the names - Pomona’s Choice, Flora’s Choice, Ceres’ Choice and Minerva’s Choice. Can’t wait for you to see them in person- come on by! Our dreams coming true.
