We’re so new at this, we don’t know what we don’t know. In Dec, Wallingford Grange earned back its Charter with about 2 dozen brand new members – and only one returning member. With the help of our Special Deputy, however, we are getting the hang of ritual and routine. We’ve been holding regular meetings every month, plus usually a public meeting or fundraiser in between. For April’s Lecturer’s Program, member Aili McKeen talked about the secret life of honeybees, their lifecycle and how they live through the winter. In May, Kim Becker and Judy Doyle, both also Grangers but in this capacity representing CT Cyber Lions, gave a presentation on suicide prevention.
Much is going on in the Hall itself.
Having been closed for some time, there’s quite a bit of housekeeping to do. One day was spent cleaning the meeting hall, and we will need another full day for the dining room and kitchen. In the process we’ve discovered many memories and a few mysteries. We’re sharing some on our Facebook page, so if you’re interested, give us a follow.
