| JANUARY 30, 2023 -- Announcing an exciting event for adults AND kids at the Simsbury Grange on Sunday, February 26th from 2:00-4:00 pm.
Seed Swap: Are you interested in helping to promote biodiversity, or a cost effective alternative to buying seeds? Join us upstairs for a community seed swap! Bring your own seeds to share, or just come to collect seeds and learn more about planting them this spring.
Learn how to collect them from your own garden, as well as how to clean and preserve them for next year.
This is a free seed giveaway - no charge for the seeds you collect at the event. Also, visit our Master Gardener table with gardening questions.
Lego Build: Children will be busy downstairs (supervised) using their imagination to build a fanciful Lego model. Legos can be provided or bring your own. Their creations can be no bigger than 12” by 12” by 12”. They will have the option of entering their piece into the grange’s Lego Building Contest at the Simsbury Grange Agricultural Fair on Saturday, June 10th where they can win cash and ribbons for their unique designs.
There are two age categories: 6 and under and 7-14.
The Grange will provide Legos for the first 20 children who are not bringing their own.
Cleaning out and looking for a place to donate Legos? We’ll take them!
Drop them inside the lower entrance to the grange or bring them to the event.
