By Susan Masino

  DECEMBER 4, 2022 --

On Sunday December 18th, Sir Jon McEngland’s Beatlemania will be transforming the Simsbury Grange. The event will feature an old-fashioned Holiday Reception and open house starting at 3:00 pm with many homemade treats, hot mulled cider, and cold punch. Sir Jon McEngland’s Beatlemania and the Simsbury Grange welcome all ages, and more information and advance registration and can be found at www.SimsburyGrange.org.

Advanced event registration is available at: https://ywyw.org/

The British Invasion legacy of the 1960s left an indelible mark upon legions of teenagers, adults and families, and many enjoyed the Fab 4 Music Festival at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in August 2022. Now, just in time for the holidays, Sir Jon McEngland's award-winning USA-wide-acclaimed 'Beatlemania!' faithfully recreates those magical screamathon days with a guitar-vocal Fab-4-tastic, non-stop, Rock-and-Roll and Sing-and-Dance-along. The period-era vibe and beautiful concert hall make the Simsbury Grange the perfect venue for this special event.

The Holiday Reception starts at 3:00 pm with free treats and self-guided tours of the Grange. Sir Jon McEngland’s Beatlemania will start promptly at 4:00 pm and reservations are recommended. From Liverpool's Cavern Club to London's fabled Abbey Road, this one-off Mop-Top Musical Mania will stay with you long after the 24th chorus of 'Hey Jude' closes this memorable musical celebration. The show lasts approximately one hour.

Tickets are general admission and seating is flexible, ranging from small to large tables. Requested donation for the Holiday Reception and Sir Jon McEngland’s Beatlemania is $20/adults, $10/students, and free for children under 6. All proceeds will support the Simsbury Grange and future music and dance programs.

Simsbury Grange #197 was established in 1931 and is part of the National Grange, the oldest general farm and community organization (founded in 1867). The Grange is and has always been non-denominational and non-partisan and Simsbury Grange is dedicated to supporting a wide range of community initiatives. Simsbury Grange hosts the only Certified Agricultural Fair in the Farmington Valley, scheduled for June 10, 2023. The Simsbury Grange is led entirely by volunteers and the hall is open for community events and private rentals year-round.
