Dec 2021 News from Greenfield Hill Grange No. 133

We had a Welcome Ceremony on Sept. 20. Welcome to our newest members: Jack Damon, Jennifer Damon, Dave Farrington, Joe Mikulka, Fran Priewola, Cathy Raynor, Jimmy Van Ness, Robert Wagner. Thank you to Robert Buck from the Connecticut State Grange for officiating.

Our Pumpkin, Bulb, Mum and Bake Sale was a great success. We even met some neighbors that we hope will join our Grange. Thank you to the bakers, the sellers, those who set up and cleaned up! It was a beautiful autumn afternoon.

Thank you for your continued support of our veterans. Nancy made a delivery to the West Haven VA in August.  Thank you for the donations of puzzles, puzzle books and snacks. We continue to collect for a future delivery. Their wish list is: boxers, briefs, t-shirts, socks, ankle socks, high socks, toiletries, Fixodent, puzzles, puzzle books, and snacks. If you love your freedom- thank a veteran!

We will host a Pasta Dinner on Dec. 4. On the menu: Antipasto, Stuffed Shells, Pasta & Sauce, Sausage and Meatballs, Bread, Butter and Dessert.

We will host a SOUP-er Supper on Jan. 29, 2022 (weather permitting). Various soups and Grilled Cheese are on the menu. ALSO BINGO with fun prizes.

Looking ahead: Valentine’s Dinner on Feb. 12. 2022 and St. Patrick’s Dinner on March 12 (both- weather permitting). Call Jim for reservations at 203-259-8023.

The date is set for our Annual Agricultural Fair: August 27, 2022. Hope to see you there.
