Around The Grange
February 2021 News from Taghhannuck Grange No. 100

By Barbara Prindle

  February 8, 2021 --

Our January meeting was again held virtually on Zoom. We were happy to have State Grange Overseer Rob Buck as a visitor. One of the advantages of having meetings on Zoom, aside from not having to travel, is seeing the insides of members’ homes. Ask him about the dog rug the next time you see him.

We also were happy to ballot on two new members and will install them before or at our next meeting. To update you on the repair of our roof, and again thank you all for your donations, our contractor put a heavier tarp on the hole as the other was tearing.   Also, we received the insurance money and can now get going on the repairs.

Our Gatekeeper Sharon Kroeger was installed and that completes the installation of officers. Sharon also had a very informative and timely Lecturer’s program “Health: Building On Your Strengths”.

Saving the best news for last, our Secretary, Debbie Hanlon (my daughter) has a donor for a new kidney and is scheduled to receive it on Jan. 20th.  Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word that “Debbie Needs a New Kidney” and also for your thoughts and prayers.

Next meeting is February 11th at 7:30 P.M. Debbie Hanlon has the Lecturer’s Program which appropriately is LOVE! It will again be on Zoom and if you would like to join, contact me for the link.
