July 2: Hot Time in the Town

Aug. 6: Cool in the Lake – Picnic, 6:30 P.M.

We’ve canceled our Hamburg Fair. It would have been the 119th one. It was established in 1887 and the only other time it was canceled was in the 40’s during the war. We are waging another war called COVID-19. We are also experiencing shortages just like the 1940s. Then we were issued ration stamps and still could not get the necessities. It was in my teen years and I can remember them well.

The things you do when you are stuck at home … because fabric is my thing, I have been producing masks and giving them to anyone who would like them. So far I have made 174 and still counting.

It sure will be nice if and when things get back to normal. I miss all my friends, be it quilt ones, Grange ones and neighbors. I’m sure everyone else is in the same boat. Keep the faith and “stay well.”
