| December 15, 2019 -- We are saddened to report the death of our Worthy Master Joan Perry. She passed away at home on Oct. 29. A memorial service was held at the Grange hall on Sunday, November 10. We want to thank all who attended, as well as those who sent their thoughts and prayers of sympathy. Joan had been our Master for many years. Joan was also active with the Pomona and State Granges.
On a brighter note, we were delighted to have 2 of our youth receive State Grange scholarships. Ciri Miller and Danielle Duquette each received $2,500. Both are students at the University of Connecticut studying in the medical field.
We were also able to host the annual meeting of the Windham County Farm Bureau in October. We were pleased to be able to receive several applications for membership. We will be working on adjusting the times of our monthly meetings to make it more convenient for our members. Our December 18 meeting will be our annual Yankee Gift Shop.
