Our snowbirds are back and we are delighted to have them!
We brought lunch of macaroni and cheese, tossed salad, water, milk and brownies to the veterans and staff of Phelps Village in Rockville. We all enjoyed sharing a meal together. Non-perishable food, toiletries, the two dozen new pillows and pillowcases we brought were appreciated. We will continue to collect toiletries and nonperishable food for Phelps Village. Root beer was our topic in April; history, recipes, a trivia game and of course root beer floats (brown cows and black cows) with root beer brownies and root beer cookies for good measure!
The month of May will see us draping our charter with a Memorial Service. Our Lecturer’s Program will also include a presentation on geocaching. Come on by and learn about this family friendly pastime.
