Riverton Grange News for November

  November 10, 2016 --

Nov. 4: Meeting; Program: Grateful For My Grange Friends; Ref.: Cindy & Mark Prelli

Dec. 16: Meeting; Program: Snowflakes and Snowpeople; Ref.: Gail Prelli & Charlie Bierce

At our October meeting, we draped our Charter in loving memory of Gladys Anstett who was a life-long member of our grange. Gladys was a sweet and loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. She was very active until physical problems made it impossible for her to attend grange meetings. Our deepest sympathy are extended to her family, and especially to her daughters Dawn, Deb Hodge and Beth Weller.

Our grange hall is now sporting a new roof and the porch has a sparkling paint job. We all thank our executive committee for getting this done.

On December 2 and 3, Christmas in Riverton will be taking place and our grange will participate by having a Christmas Tree Festival under the direction of Dawn Anstett and Phil Prelli. A small Christmas tree may be purchased, decorated by the owner and then judged that weekend.

Following our meeting on December 16, there will be a secret snowflake grab bag. The limit to be spent on the grab-bag item is $10.00.

We wish all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
