  SEPTEMBER 2016 --

Sept. 19: Regular Meeting

Oct. 3: Installation

Oct. 8: Apple Festival

Our cool cold “Summer Dinner” on July 13 went off well. It wasn’t too hot but we had lots of cool drinks and good food. Our next mid-week dinner will probably be over (Aug. 10) by the time this paper is printed. It will be a turkey dinner with all the fixin’s. We are hoping to have these dinners mid-week so as not to coincide with other weekend events. Watch for announcements in the future. These are some of our planned fundraisers. Coming up in Sept. is our Annual Fair in September then the Apple Festival on Oct. 8. Hopefully the start of Farmer’s Markets on Nov. 12th. More on that later.

We held our Summer Picnic at Quaddick Lake picnic area. Linda & Joe took care of grilling the hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone helped with supplying salads and drinks. There were about 12 of us attending. It was a pleasant night. Many of us had not been to that lake in years.

Our Texas members, the Fiske’s, attended our June meeting and were introduced to our members who did not know them. Our Flora, Josie Stenback has been hospitalized for Lyme Disease. She is recovering. Master Pat Valyse attended Lecturer’s Conference.
