Greenfield Hill News for August

In June, we had our Election of Officers and our Grange was inspected by Geno Piacentini, Deputy of Fairfield County Pomona and Karen Macdonald, Ceres of the Connecticut State Grange.  We are in the midst of of completing the roster of elected officers and finish information required for the Pomona handbook.

In August the focus will be our Annual Fair, which will feature exhibits of flowers and vegetables, home baking and canning; needlework and crafts; bake sale; food; historical and educational displays; games for kids; and special activities.  Competitive exhibits may be brought in 7-9 PM. The evening before or 7:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. Fair day.

Early September we will be hosting Fairfield County Pomona for a dinner at 6 P.M. and meeting at 7:30 P.M. (Sept. 2nd on Saturday the 5th the Tomato Tasting will be held in connection with the local seed library.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our hall for the above events.

 

Aug. 17:  Last Minute Planning Meeting, 7:30 P.M.

Aug. 22:  Annual Agricultural Fair, 10 A.M. – 4 P.M.
