Around The Grange
Greenfield Hill Grange News for January 2015

By Dennis Rich

  JANUARY 14, 2015 --

We had a very busy November with a planning meeting, a Thanksgiving theme dinner and meeting, and a Junior Grange activity.  Our members enjoyed a turkey and fixings.  The program continued from October’s with pumpkins to the role of Native Americans and their agriculture in the survival of the Pilgrims.  On the last Saturday, our future Junior Grangers decorated a Christmas tree for the hall and had a “make and take” cookie baking and decorating session.  This took place in connection with our midday Winter Farmer’s Market.

The Junior Committee is working on a late-morning program for the 17th.  Depending on weather conditions, appropriate activities will be worked out.  For more on Junior Grange, contact greenfield133@gmail.com.

In the evening of the same day, we are having plans for a “Dixie Diner”, a fund raiser.  Contact Diane or Paul Lytwyn at (203) 913-5055 for details.

Finally we need volunteers to coordinate for a St. Valentine’s Day dance (Feb. 14th) and a St. Patrick’s salute (Mar. 21st).  Bring your ideas!
