Around The Grange
January 2015 News from Beacon Valley Grange

By Joanne Cipriano

  JANUARY 5, 2015 --

The holidays being over it’s time to get back to work and to make plans for the remainder of the year.  One thing we know is that it costs money to maintain the Grange Hall.  We are coming up with a few money-making activities.  One is to have a tag sale on Saturday, May 2.  To our members that are unable to attend meetings, this is a way you can help us.  As you do your spring cleaning, put those items that you no longer need away for us.  They will be appreciated.  More about this in the next Granger.

Another fundraiser I’m sure Ron Fischer will be planning another “Open Mic.”  Date to be announced.

For our meetings, we will meet on Friday, Jan. 9th.  The program is titled “Northern Exposure.”  As the song says “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”  It might be cold outside but it’s always warm in the hall and the members always give everyone a warm welcome.  Refreshments will be in the charge of Harriet Sawczuk and Gloria Meholik.  These two sisters are sure to have something good to eat.
