This year the Simsbury Agricultural Grange Fair took place on September 13.  Adults and children eagerly entered the contests hoping for ribbons and prize money.  The contests included baked goods, flower arranging, legos, and two new entries for children – artwork and photography.

Fairgoers feasted on pizza, baked goods and lemonade sold by the Junior Grangers as they tapped their toes to the music of folk singer Bill Benson.

Attendees also enjoyed exhibits from local farmers and non-profits and the wares of more than 15 vendors.  They bid on our silent auction offerings and found interesting treasures in our used book sale and tag sale.

Families also enjoyed the children’s activities and the hayride to Tulmeadow Farm on a beautiful day at the Fair.
