Hillstown Grange News for September

Summer is running out as we read this, most of the gardens should be giving us loads of fresh veggies.

We are all looking forward to fair season knowing fall and cool weather soon follows (we won’t talk about the next season mean old winter).

August 24.  Several members will be going to the Veterans and Volunteer Picnic at the Elks Club in Glastonbury.  All Veterans and anyone who ever volunteers for anything is invited to this free picnic.  Starts at noon and they need appetizers and desserts. For more info contact: glastonburyvfw@aol.com.

August 28. Fair talk and fall planning.  After the fair we hope to schedule some garden preserving classes so more people can freeze and can their garden goodies.

September 11. two days to fair, but we will have a meeting anyway.

September 13.  Hillstown Agriculture Fair will be held from 9 to 2

September 25. Open meeting starting with a garden to table dinner starting at 6pm. Topic, fall gardening and how to prep for winter in the garden.
