Around The Grange
Winchester Grange July Musings

By Todd Gelineau, Winchester Grange President

  JULY 5, 2014 --

Thanks go to all of the members and friends who volunteered their time to make the annual Strawberry Festival such a great success.  It was our best profit in many years with over 420 guests lining up for heaping servings of Strawberry Shortcake on Father’s Day.  We were also pleased to have the new Laurel Queen Sarah Martin and her mom with us for the entire afternoon helping to serve.

Our long-awaited Clothing Donation Shed from the St. Pauly Organization should have been delivered to the Grange property by the time of this printing.  It really is a very attractive building that has been painted to match the Grange Hall and Fire Department buildings.  Donations of clothing and shoes can be dropped off anytime and the Grange will receive a donation from St. Pauly for each pound of clothing donated.  The shed will be located just outside the Post Office entrance to the building.

Looking ahead- our annual Grange Fair and Flea Market is coming up fast on August 9.  Exhibits for the judgings and vendors for the Flea Market are always welcome.  Please contact us via our email:   info@winchestergrange.org or by phone:  860-307-1522.  We’ll be happy to get you signed up!
