Hillstown Grange News for March

Other exciting news for our Grange, we have welcomed in the following new members: Roger Michaud, Tanya Moreno, Yolanda Moreno and Jill Upton!  Hillstown Grange will be holding a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 8th from 8:30  to 11am. Take a break from the winter blahs and come relax and enjoy pancakes , sausage, bottomless cups of coffee, tea and juice  for just $5; children under 10 just $3.  Special “kid-cakes” will be available with chocolate chips.  

This month we want to talk “Gardening” stop in to read the seed catalogs, talk and dream of spring and summer gardening with our members and other breakfast quests.  On March 27th we are hosting a soup dinner from 6 to 7pm followed with a seed exchange and seed starting program.  Bring any extra seeds, catalogs, gardening tips you have.

Hillstown Grange’s Annual Corned Beef Dinner will be held on March 29, 2014.  Come and enjoy a real “family style” Corned beef dinner.

Our dinner is held on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. at the Hillstown Grange Hall, 617 Hills St. East Hartford.  Plan early to order your ticket because this event usually sells out.  A limited number of dinners can be ordered to go.

The Grange is a rural family fraternity founded in 1867, the nation’s oldest general farm organization. The Grange is comprised of families and individuals who share a common interest in community involvement, agriculture, and working together in a family environment and has been serving the Hillstown area of East Hartford, Manchester, and Glastonbury for over 100 years.  New members welcome.
