Around The Grange
Winchester Grange November Musings

By Todd Gelineau, Winchester Grange President

  OCTOBER 31, 2013 --

Thank you to all of the Grangers who traveled to Winchester for our Oct. 22 meeting and Halloween Party.  It was great to have a full hall and great fun prepared by “guest” Lecturer Terri Fassio and her mom, Lecturer Rae Fassio.

Our annual Holiday Bazaar and Cookie Walk is coming up on Saturday, November 2.  The count, as of this writing, is over 18 vendors with calls coming every day. So it should be a full hall with a great assortment of home baked cookies and great lunch items for sale throughout the day.  Join us!

The second edition of our popular 125th Anniversary Cookbook is now available following the sell out of the first edition.  It’s just $12 for this great book that includes hundreds of new and old recipes culled from previous cookbooks from Winchester Grange.  It’s a great gift-- call 860-626-0326 or email info@winchestergrange.org to find out how to purchase your copy OR visit any Winchester Grange event!

As is the case with any printed material, there are always a few errors that have to be corrected and the cookbook is no exception.  Contrary to the recipe-- you do not need to have a “Crackpot” to cook corn chowder.  This and other typos have been corrected in the new edition, and correction sheets are available by contacting us.

Nov. 12:  Peanut Butter Lovers Unite (Ref. Potluck Supper at 6:30 P.M.)
