APRIL 12, 2013 -- Our February meeting was held one week late to accommodate the schedules of our members. We exchanged some valentines and had a raffle. Arthur Tylenda received a donation from our Past Master, Donna Bartling, we voted to use the funds to donate to a soup kitchen in the remembrance of the Sandy Hook victims.
The Norwich Grange sadly had to drape our Charter for the passing of two of our cherished members in March. We draped our charter for Sisters Elizabeth L. Meyers and Helen P Tarryk. Helen was our Worthy Treasurer for twenty eight years. God bless them and their families.
The Norwich Grange had a small informational session on the History of Saint Patrick’s Day and we shared Irish Soda Bread and Green Mountain Dew.
The Grangers then had a craft session led by Richard Tarryk, Our Worthy Chaplain, where all the Grangers Crafted Table Favors for the residents of Sheltering Arms in Norwich, a community Residence for the elderly.
We will be having a special potluck dinner on May 8 to encourage new members for our Grange. All are welcome. |
