| APRIL 4, 2013 -- Winchester Grange has never been busier with our normal schedule of events combined with the celebration of our 125th Anniversary. We held a Roast Pork Supper last Saturday with a very respectable turnout for our first attempt. We plan on holding another dinner later this summer or early fall.
Our annual Cabin Fever Craft & Bake Sale completely sold out with a waiting list of vendors. It was a nice problem to have. Hopefully the waiting list will help us to populate our Fair & Flea Market and a possible summer Craft Fair.
Sunday, April 14 will be our official 125th Anniversary Celebration at the Grange Hall beginning at 2 P.M. At the time we set the date we thought we would be well clear of snowy weather-- let’s hope that will turn out to be true!!! Our plans for the event should make it very special with maybe a surprise or two thrown in for good measure! Everyone is invited and welcome to join us.
Winchester Junior Grange is moving closer to reality with an Open House schedule for the following Saturday, April 20 beginning at 2 P.M. Our Leader and Assistant Leader are working on some fun activities along with a presentation on Junior Grange membership. We would love to see potential Junior members from Granges throughout the Pomona join us. All we need is 13 boys and girls to get that Charter in place!
Winchester will be working with the Winchester Center Congregational Church to present a Community event at the Grange Hall while the church presents its annual Quilt Show. A feature will be a program on the last 125 years of Winchester Center history with table spaces for community non-profit organizations and lunch served by the Grange. Hours will be from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
If all of that was not enough, we are also planning a Tag Sale and a Super Prize Party both to be held in May.
