OCTOBER 1, 2012 -- Vegetables were grown by Taghhannuck Grange #100 as a community service project with the harvested produce or funds generated by them to be donated to a local food bank. The last day of harvest was Sept. 21st.
Our garden enabled us to deliver to the food bank over a period of 4 weeks:
9.5 lbs sweet peppers 2 lbs hot peppers 1 lb basil 11.5 lbs green beans 1 lb tomatoes 3 lbs kale 49 lbs potatoes 5 lbs beets 1.5 lbs carrots 0 lbs of spaghetti squash (the seeds did not sprout) |
