| MAY 11, 2012 -- If your child is ready to grace the Broadway stage, give them the tools to become a triple-threat here at the Ultimate Broadway Experience summer classes offered by Oxford’s Nine Mile Players. Classes run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Oxford Grange Hall, 482 Oxford Road (Route 67), in Oxford, from June 19 to Aug. 11.
Students will work with motivated theatre professionals on becoming all-around performers learning acting, dance, and musical theatre as well as being able to take specialized workshops.
Broadway Juniors (ages 8-12): Tuesdays, Broadway Seniors (ages 13-17): Thursdays
Workshop topics include audition etiquette, Shakespeare, comedy improv, ballet class, stage combat, costume design, the music of “Glee,” and hip-hop dance.
Program Tuition: $300 + $20 Registration Fee
40 percent due upon registration, 40 percent due by June 1, and 20 percent due by June 25.
Tuition includes program costs, costume rentals (if needed), free T-shirt and two complimentary tickets to the final production.
Sign up by May 15 and waive the $20 registration fee. There is also a 15 sibling discount and payment plan available!
