| FEBRUARY 8, 2012 -- Start getting out the cookbooks and planning your favorite meal. We will hold our annual potluck and movie night on Saturday, Feb. 11 with a snow date on Sunday, Feb. 12.
Our movie this year will be “Leap Year”, a movie starring Amy Adams, Matthew Goode and Adam Scott. Anna Brady plans to travel to Dublin, Ireland on Feb. 29, leap day, because, according to Irish tradition, a man who receives a marriage proposal on leap day must accept it. However, bad weather threatens to derail her plan.
Please remember to bring your own dishes and utensils. Popcorn and candy will be provided.
It’s not too early to prepare your A Number and Talent presentations. The Pomona competition will be held on March 10th at North Stonington Grange. Let’s try to have a number from every Grange.
The winter months now are upon us,
Let’s hope we don’t get any snow.
