Aug. 1: Locally Grown Day/Senexet Grange Fair

Aug. 5: Duffy Scholarship Awards Celebration

Our President Amy Monahan hosted anot her Com munity Breakfast on July 11th. The public Is invited to this social event to connect residents with information on local issues and happenings on the second Saturday of the month. At the June 13 breakfast Congressman Joe Courtney explained the Social Security issues facing seniors.

On July 15th we will celebrate membership anniversaries for the following members at a picnic: Randolph Blackmer 70 years, Eddie Duhamel 70 years, Bonnie Achtermeier 60 years and Father A. Stephen Marcoux 45 years. Thank you for supporting the Grange!

On July 19th Roseland Park’s “76 Celebration” of America’s 250th and Roseland Park’s 150th anniversaries will include Senexet Grange’s display where we will be promoting our 140th and our building’s 90th anniversary with America 250 tablecloths to sign or color. We will be providing handouts to promote our Grange.

On August 1 st our grange coordinates Locally Grown Day—a day where local farms, garden centers, crafters, etc. invite the public to visit them for activities and to learn what is available in our area. We will print a map and an activity pamphlet as well as providing handouts at all locations promoting the Grange. Also, we will be sponsoring free Sunrise Yoga at our hall where our Grange Fair entries and a Historic Barn Display will be set up. We are also inviting the public to bring in a white t-shirt to make themselves a Great American 250 T-shirt (blue paint handprint over the heart, and red and white painted stripes below).

On August 5th we will invite

the recipients of John F. Duffy and Helena B. Duffy Scholarships and their families to our hall for presentation of their awards. This year we are proud to provide scholarships for eight local students: Jackson Durand, Eva Monahan, Harrison Durand, Siobhan Hart, Kaylee Saucier, Spencer Mayo, Andrew Landreville, and Eden Lusignan.
