| August 5, 2021 -- Notice is hereby given of the 135th Annual Session of the Connecticut State Grange to be held at the Holiday Inn, 10 Laura Boulevard, Norwich, CT 06360 on October 21, 22, and 23, 2021 The opening session on October 21 will commence at 7:00 P.M.
ALL GRANGES SHOULD BE REPRESENTED AT THE ANNUAL SESSION, AS PRESCRIBED IN THE DIGEST.
Subordinate and Pomona Secretaries will prepare two credential cards - one for the delegates to bring with them to State Session and the other to be mailed to the State Secretary in Winchester Center. These cards were mailed to all Granges in early July. Please contact the Secretary if your Grange has not received them.
Room reservations at the hotel must be made by the individual. Please do not call the Holiday Inn corporate number. Please make your reservation as soon as possible by calling the Holiday Inn Norwich directly at 860-889- 5201. Tell the reservation desk that you are with the Connecticut State Grange. Our room rate is $105.00 plus taxes/fees, per night. Our room block will close on September 21 after which time members will be charged the full rack room rate.
We are pleased to welcome Brother Steve Coye of New York as our National Representative. Brother Steve currently serves on the National Grange Exec. Comm. All sessions, meals and the Degree will be held at the hotel.
Celebration Banquet: The Celebration Banquet will be held on Friday, October 22 beginning at 7:00 P.M. Tickets are $30 (prior to September 30). Tickets purchased after September 30 will be $40. Tickets may be obtained by completing a Session Registration Form (printed in this issue and included in the packets sent to Granges).
Sixth Degree: The Sixth Degree will be held on Saturday afternoon, October 23, beginning at 3:00 P.M. Candidates for the Sixth Degree should be at the hotel by 2:30 P.M. Sixth Degree applications may be obtained during the Session or from the State Grange Office in advance. Cost is: $10 per person.
Registration Fee: Entire Session is $30.00 (including lunch both days). One day is
$15.00 (includes lunch for the day registered). Junior registration fee is $10.00.
The Annual Session concludes the work of the Grange year. We hope your Grange will be represented to answer the roll call on Thursday evening, October 21, as we look forward to another year of good Grange work in Connecticut. After this difficult past year, it will be wonderful to say “Welcome Home” to all of our friends and fellow Patrons.
