Beacon Valley Grange March 2019 News

By Joanne Cipriano

  MARCH 4, 2019 --

Our first meeting of the new year was very productive with many positive ideas.  We have scheduled a clothing drive for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 3, 4 and 5 from 9 to 5.  When you are doing your spring cleaning, think of us.  On Saturday, May 4 we will also have a tag sale from 9 to 2.  The tag sale items will also be available the other two days.  We could use some volunteers to be at the hall to collect the clothes.

Our members also agreed to have a cleaning party the third Wednesday of each month.  As the saying goes “Many hands make light work.”

In the last Granger I said we needed a larger audience at our Open Mics.  Many took heed and the attendance at the January Open Mic doubled.  Our hall holds many more.  Mark the calendar “Open Mic – third Saturday of each month from 2 to 5.”

Judi’s program from our March 8th meeting is entitled “Spring – St. Patty’s – April Fools.”  Carole Mancini will be in charge of refreshments.  Come and enjoy her Irish soda bread.

We have started planning our 130th Anniversary to be held on Friday, May 31st.  Please save the date.

In the next Granger we will have the date of our WalMart Bake Sale.
