February News from Lyme Grange

By Lois Evankow

  February 24, 2017 --

Mar. 2: CWA Kitchen Kings and Queens

Apr. 6: Inspection. What will the Deputy Observe?

May 4: Visitors – Invite your equal.

Our January meeting brought news of our dear longtime secretary Marita Rand has been in ill health and resigning. Marita Rand has been our Sec. For about 35 years.

We had Show & Tell which is a most interesting subject and enjoyed by all.

In December, Lyme Grange donated 36 dozen homemade cookies to Frank Forest and Christmas cards signed by our members, all packed and sent to troops.

We had a pleasant surprise, a young couple walked into our hall and announced “We want to join your Grange – we are farmers.” How wonderful!!

In February we must find a new Secretary, not an easy thing to do. Then to get them installed so they can take over.

How lucky can you get? The sun arrived after our meeting. Hope the rest of the year will be kind to us.

It was such a pleasant surprise. Everyone who received a certificate in Dec. for their years of Grange membership received a beautiful picture of themselves with our State Master. Our Lecturer received a beautiful book of the whole event. Such a special person, Norman Stitham. We all thank you.
