August News From Lyme Grange

By Lois Evankow

  AUGUST 24, 2016 --

Sept. 1: Summer Capers. Besides the Fair what else did you do this summer?

Oct. 6: Are you ready for State Session?

Nov. 3: Ag Program- The Frost is on the Pumpkin

On a blistering hot night in July we held our meeting in our hall. We are working on a certificate night in December and will probably have about 35 to give out ranging from 25 years to 75 years. Hopefully the man upstairs will send us a pleasant evening.

The Lecturer shortened her program due to the excessive heat and the roaring of fans. We continue community service with many members donating food to meal sites, volunteering at meal sites, hospital volunteering and driving elderly to doctor visits.

Norman Stitham outdid himself with our quarterly newsletter. He told the story of “I am the Nation.” It really hit home being around the fourth of July. “Our Independence.”

Hayden Reynolds has lined up terrific entertainment.  I just hope we get decent weather.
